I continue to be impressed by this folio, not least because of the way NekoMarie exposes the weaknesses of "centerfold eroticism" through quiet (yet stark) contrast When you contrast a real-life attractive woman presenting herself erotically, it draws into sharp focus (for me, at least) just how artificial the centerfold process is ... I'm not saying the women who _pose_ for centerfolds aren't real, only that the "centerfolding process" itself tends to leach most of the reality out of their allure. They become emblems of age-old paradigms and cultural shortcuts which we process as "erotic" because of traditional cultural cues. Centerfolds still hold erotic power for many, but when you contrast these against an attractive real-world woman posing erotically in a real-world context, the centerfolds lose most of their allure in the comparison, and seem like mere echoes of something, as compared to the actual sound.
