Veeery slow download speeds recently.

Hi,

is there any reason why downloads over the last week or so have been going at about 45Kb/s? I'm getting that at the moment on today's video - whereas a speed check showed that my ISP is capable of about 68Mb/s. I know that the server speed your end determines the actual speed, but even so 45 KB seems a little too slow.

There's a network blockage in the US, which is nothing to do with us but is slowing down access to our sites. It should be resolved soon - I'll post on the forum to confirm when everything's back to normal. My apologies for the inconvenience .

Must be another blockage - 80Kb/s download atm. Imagine what it would do if it was something vital to society as a whole..... I think we live in a world that's managed to balance itself on a technological knife edge as far as the operation of a civilised society is concerned.
