ARTISTS STATEMENT

I am a woman and like many other women I am not very comfortable with my body. When you grow up with an unrealistic image of perfection constantly shoved in your face by the media of what a women should look like all you can do is look at your flaws and 'imperfections'. All I constantly thought was, I need to be thinner, I need to be prettier, I need to look like the girls in the music videos. Put it this way, I was in a relationship for four years and the poor guy barely saw me naked and I always wanted to have sex in the dark. I heard about Feck and how they were showcasing real women and encouraging women to be comfortable in their own skin. I think this is very inspiring and liberating and I want to be a part of it. After doing this shoot I feel like I am on the right path to enjoying my body and feeling good about myself, after all this is the only body I will ever have!

Why i shot myself: I wanted to do something different and to feel more confident.

who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: Jennifer Lawrence, she is awesome!

Most outrageous thing I have done: Skinny dipping and I accidentally stole a dressing gown once.
Bands I like: I love the Kooks, Razorlight and Acrtic Monkeys, I am a big fan of the indie scene.
Books I like: I am a bit of the fan of the cliche female self help books, I also love Philosophy and Marian Keyes.
Films I like: Bridget Jones' Diary (that woman is me I swear!) Fight Club, Moulin Rouge.
