ARTISTS STATEMENT

I first posed nude about 4 years ago. It was for a university art class and I remember feeling absolutely terrified at the prospect of having to stand completely naked in front of complete strangers. I really shouldn't have bothered. They did not care. This is not to say that they looked at me as if I were an object or anything, but that first class taught me that nudity is nowhere near as shocking or scandalous as I was originally led to believe. We all have a body, we all have hands and feet and breasts and shoulders and knees and genitalia and all the other parts that make us human. They are wonderful and weird and I decided a long time ago not to feel ashamed of mine.

Most outrageous thing I have done: One time I stole a library book (I'm still ashamed of it).
Bands I like: Everything except yodeling. Yodeling is the worst.
Books I like: I am in awe and fear of Margaret Atwood and her amazing dystopian literature.
Films I like: Drop Dead Gorgeous.
