ARTISTS STATEMENT
Shooting myself felt really good. I broke through a boundary in myself by doing something I hadn't felt capable of doing before, it was a small and courageous step in my life. The process of letting myself be naked in an 'unusual' place and opening my eyes and camera lens to my fully naked and unashamed body helped me shake of any residual feelings of negative self-image that I've carried with me from adolescence. I'm looking forward to doing more rolling around naked in the grass and dirt in the future.
