ARTISTS STATEMENT

I love my body, I love being nude alone or with company. There's something so beautiful about being a peace with yourself. This set hopefully comes off as is playful and body exploritory, inspired by my own aesethetic and love of lingerie and popping colour. I do a lot of self portraiture and have most of my life, even prior to having an iphone handy and to work with a small camera without self timer was definitely a challenge. I would usually use my iphone, or my dslr. I believe smartphones are actually one of the best tools for self love. I have actually told people to take selfies as often as you can. To empower yourself and see how neat your body is.

Most outrageous thing I have done: Took mushrooms in upstate New York and spent it staring at a forest and spent 6 hours in a hot tub nude with two other babes. It was a totally dreamy and spiritual evening staring at the stars
Bands I like: Kelela, Lion Babe, FKA Twigs, Grimes, Solange, a lot of cool girls making great beats & sick R&B
Books I like: I'm reading Essays in Love by Alain de Botton at the moment & although its very heteronormative, it's still interesting to see feelings of love expressed in such an analytical way.
Films I like: I really loved Frances Ha. A really sweet film set in new york about two women in their 20s who are bestfriends and how they deal with life happening to them. Too relatable.
