ARTISTS STATEMENT
It has taken me a long time to feel 100% comfortable with myself, both naked & clothed. My mum taught me to compliment myself, find the good things, and look past the bad, and finally I could out weight the bad easily! "Great legs" I'd say out loud to myself in the street when I caught my reflection in a shop window or "cool hair" when I'd return home from a windy day. These tiny things, little changes in my lifestyle, changed me completely. No body is perfect, but that's ok. I wouldn't want to be. If I was perfect, I wouldn't be me, and hey, I really like me. In fact, I love me. If anyone tries to mock, disagree or put me down, I just ignore and smile. Mum told me once to own the phrase "If you don't like it, don't look" and it's true.

I like to smell: cocoa butter. It transports me back to my childhood and staying at my granny's house.

I like to feel: delicate kisses between my shoulder blades when I'm not expecting it. Sends a shiver down me.

favourite part of someone else's body: My mum's hands are so beautiful, long & elegant.
Why i shot myself: I want people, women, to learn how to appreciate their bodies. Old, young, fat, thin. Beauty is what you make it.
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: No one. Everyone has the right to feel beautiful and I can't think of a more empowering way!
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: My Mum, she's currently battling cancer & just lost her hair, but I think she'd have the best time!

Most outrageous thing I have done: 1st summer working on a summer camp & witnessing my 1st proper storm. So strong & hypnotizing. I was overwhelmed to be part of it so I decided to go skinny dipping in the lake. I survived!
Bands I like: I don't really have favourites, but when I hear something I like, I dance. IMMEDIATELY!
Books I like: Reading is such an important pass time for me. Reading is knowledge and knowledge is power!
Films I like: Lord of the Rings, such a good film set! I could watch them a million times and never get bored.
