ARTISTS STATEMENT

I have insecurities like every woman and man does, I wish I had a bubble butt, a washboard stomach and Beyonce's legs. However, since partaking in the I Shot Myself folio, I have a whole new perspective on how my body looks. Funnily enough, some of the areas I used to not like I've realised are actually pretty darn awesome. I have a new found love for my bum and went as far as going out and buying myself new lingerie that focuses all on the butt, something I wouldn't have done a month ago. Seeing the way my boyfriend looks at my body with so much love, passion and fire in his eyes made me realise that I needed to be able to look at myself that way as well. Becoming involved in the I Shot Myself folio has provided me with the opportunity to do just that and I am so glad that I did it. For once I didn't look at my body thinking 'that needs to be worked on' and 'this looks fat' and 'what even is that!?' I was looking at myself thinking 'my bum really isn't that flat', and 'damn girl did you really never like those big boobs'. I have boobs and they're big and full and I never even noticed them! It's been such an eye opening experience and I feel so sexy now and confident with how I look, it's just incredible. If i was asked to sum up how I feel after taking part in the I Shot Myself folio I would say liberated, empowered and sexy as hell.

I like to feel: smooth skin on mine, sand between my toes, my mink blanket on my naked body on a warm night.
favourite part of my body: Eyes, boobs, smile, bum and back.
favourite part of someone else's body: Eyes, back, chest, lips, arms and their junk!
Why i shot myself: I realised I needed to look at my body the way my boyfriend does, with love and passion.
who I'd least like to see shoot themselves: My parents. I would love for them to do the folio, I just wouldn't want to SEE it.
who I'd most like to see shoot themselves: My boyfriend. He has an incredible body but always acts silly about it so I would love to see him look at his body seriously and see how he feels afterwards.

Most outrageous thing I have done: Telling my parents I was going to move and leaving 10 days later.
